When our food finally arrived, it sat on a tray in the aisle between two occupied tables for about five minutes before the waiter set it on our table. Meanwhile, the guests at the other tables were confused, wondering if the food was meant for them or for us. The waiter didn’t check in at all to see how we were enjoying our meals and never asked if we wanted anything else. He brought the check but forgot to provide a pen for us to sign the receipt. After waiting for ten minutes, I had to walk to the front, take a pen from the counter, sign the receipt myself, and leave.
In summary, this place seems overpriced for what it offers. It’s just another average Indian restaurant—nothing memorable....
I have tried 3 different Sakoon restaurants and never got a disappointment in terms of flavor n taste. This time it was Fremont one. My family first ordered two appetizers (Chaat Papdi n Saufia Paneer) and they loved both in taste. Only thing is that papdi was less in Chaat Papdi (lol). We found the main course very tasty as well. We asked for green chili on side to add more spice but they offered another dish (some salad) which I didn?t understand. Side sitting is compact and not comfortable but middle ones are better since you can adjust the chairs. My reviews are mostly because of taste. I would like to return whenever want to eat tasty food.
Well sakoon is always consistent when it comes to quality tasty food ... so no issues there ! It?s the service especially at this Fremont location which was a huge disappointment. From empty reception to no server in sight, you just wait for someone to answer your queries or in some cases order more food ! Not to mention how sometimes you get a rude answer like ? no we don?t .. while walking away ? okay !! I saw people coming in and just waiting for someone to help them seated !!! The 2 person staff lunch buffet weekday didn?t even pay attention to food warmers where off until prompted. I want to give 2 star but there food is awesome !
0 for the service, 0 for the food quality, 0 for the cocktail.. it could earlier be tasty, from July 2022 this is the worst restaurant in Bay Area.. Prices do not correspond to food quality. Meat was very dry and the tandoor was not properly cooked (the raw wort is not cooked on the meat). The server did not even have an eye on our table, although it was not busy.. He took about 30min to get close to our table to get main course order after serving starters. I tried to dispense with him several times and failed because he was in the kitchen the most time.

Let me start off by saying this was recommended by 2 awesome friends, so my review is biased, but both of them are indian and have superb tastes.... and this is where they recommend. We ordered 12 different dishes: 3 types of Naan, 8 plates, and 1 big bowl of yogurt to tame the spice and everything was great. Highly recommend.
The food was hopelessly bad. Chicken was stinking and very oily. None of the curries was fresh and was very fat. It took about 15 minutes to get the naan. That was Friday. No one should pay 20 for such food. Bombay Garden would have been a better option.
Good ambience and service. The quality of the food could have been better as I have tasted better in other places. I am going to give the benefit of the doubt to the time of the day, since it was late on a Sunday night.
The Everthing tastes so perfect here. It has to try... WIEDER LOVE?? Wonderful menu... the food is amazing.
