This was our first visit to Khukuri but was not disappointed. We had the $30 per head set 3 course dinner. 2 couples. I was unsure at first but so glad we chose it. The entree was delicious, especially the MoMo (dumplings) The main was...a choice of Lamb/Beef curry, Chicken butter or korma, a vegetable curry, a dahl, rice naan bread. They even offered us more of the butter chicken, which was delicious! Then dessert, which was a choice of ice cream or rice pudding. What more could you ask for. And BYO with no corkage! We’ll definitely be going back! EXCELLENT!!
We chose this restaurant because it was nearby and had a good reputation. The waitress greeted us warmly, but it was clear she was the only one serving. While waiting for our order, we noticed the peeling wallpaper, giving the place a run-down look. The loud ringing phone was a bit disruptive for what we had hoped would be a relaxing meal. However, the food was delicious and we really enjoyed it. It would have been helpful to know beforehand that it is a BYO restaurant since it is not licensed.
There was only one staff member working, which made the service extremely slow. Throughout the night, we often had to track them down to place our orders. There were many misunderstandings and the service was lacking. The prices and descriptions of the dishes were not listed on the menu. However, the food was very tasty once it finally arrived. Overall, we were not satisfied with the experience and do not plan on returning.
Quiet meal with four friends in a small but lovely Nepalese restaurant. Quick,but friendly staff and delicious food may for a thoroughly enjoyable evening. We were not rushed to order our meals but when we did it arrived quickly and beautifully presented. There was no...hurry for us to leave and we chatted for another 30 mins before settling up and going home. Would definitely recommend to all our friends. Réservez une table maintenant
The Nepali restaurant located in Hepburn Heights, Padbury is exceptional. The ambience may be simple, but the food and service were top-notch and very reasonably priced. Additionally, being able to bring your own alcohol helped to keep costs down. We dined here based on a recommendation and were thoroughly impressed. We definitely plan on returning soon.
