However the charge you $2 per dish for 1 slice of gluten free bread on top of the standard order. $6 for 3 slices) A whole loaf costs $4.50 per loaf from woolworths only 50m away. Two of our four ordered meals came out and I told my daughter it’s good manners to wait until all meals are served before starting. 10 minutes later I told her to start so it wouldn’t get cold. 10 minutes after that the other meals arrived. And what a disappointment. The parmigiana was dry and tasteless and had no salsa (tomatoes). To their credit, when we told the waiter they refunded our money without us asking so that gains them a second star! I had the Sarah’s special, and sorry Sarah, it was horrible. The salmon was extremely salty and no flavour of its own, and the whole dish just didn’t taste any good. The coffee had that chemical taste that reminds you of cleaning products.
The cafe was not particularly clean. A row of wine glasses ganging up appeared to be covered in grease and dust and the ceiling fans were black. We opted to eat outside. One of our party did not get what she ordered. The food was nice enough. About 2 pm the staff started packing away. Tables and chairs were stacked, very noisily all around us. The people at the table had not even received their order! There website stated they closed at 3 pm. I felt it was the height of rudeness to pack up while customers are trying to enjoy their meal. We won't be back.
Im a big fan of this restaurant, I will continue to come back because its one of the only decent ones on the northern gold coast. Simon the owner is lovely and always tries to cater to his customers. You can also sit in the sun or shade, the staff are attentive, pricing is great, food is of a good standard and selection is competitive.

We've been there lots of times for his great lunch menu. Went today with a friend just for a milkshake. $13.80 for two milkshakes! YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME! NEVER AGAIN. A milkshake shouldn't be more than $4!
The food and drinks were excellent, and the portions were generous. I left the meal feeling very satisfied!
Delicious food and excellent service. Enjoyable outdoor seating area. They also offer gluten-free options.
I love going every week. Always lovely pleasant girls the coffee's good too.
