Smitty's Pancake House Restaurant

Smith's Parksvill is a great stop for an excellent breakfast especially if you have arrived at Nanamo by an early ferry and are heading up Vancover Island and are looking for a fulfilling breakfast. The hash brown cubes are very filling and the portion as a side is big, great to share with. Omelette is large and well filled, pancakes are fluffy and excellent. Portion size is on the large side so don't get too carried away or you may not fit back in your trousers. We had not been to Smitty's in quite a while due to a bad experience but decided to give them another try. The service was good. We were seated quickly and it did not take long for our food to arrive. I had the clubhouse with fries and my wife had a philly cheese steak type sandwich with fries. My clubhouse was decent but the bread was a little over toasted. It was still edible so I did not say anything. My wife's sandwich was alright but one half barely had meat. The other half made up for it so again nothing was said. For the quality of the food we found their prices a little high. We will not be rushing back anytime soon.

We have had late breakfast at this location every saturday or sunday. Today I and 2 people at nearby tables returned eggs either undercooked or overcooked. The servers were not pleased. As if to say " they're just eggs. Service was very slow on this visit. Ladies restroom was filthy. One of the toilets obviously hadn't been cleaned since last weekend. Yuk. Toilet wouldn't flush, paper towel dispenser wouldn't dispense. All this in the public area. What's the condition in employee areas? We will not be using Smitty's restaurant in the future.

Dropped in for a quick and easy breakfast before hitting the road...probably some of the best fried eggs and waffles to be had. Staff were couteous, attentive and prompt in taking order, keeping coffee mugs filled and in providing the bill. Excellent no frills breakfast when you need to hit the road. We had breakfast twice while in Parksville. Both times the staff was friendly and attentive. Coffee was good and always filled, and the staff was right on top of service. Good going guys. :)

Have eaten here many times over the years. Have always found the staff to be friendly and their when you need them. Recommend, - place is clean and good good.

We enjoyed breakfast every day while we visited Parksville. Very friendly and welcoming staff and tasty breakfasts.
