Smokin' George's Bbq

I wish I could give this place 5 stars, but there were some glaring issues. Ordered the super platter, and half of the meat arrived at our table barely warm. The ribs were also very dry and some of them shriveled up on the bone. Despite those problems, all the food tasted great, and service was super friendly, although they were very busy! The pulled pork, brisket, and bratwurst were all delicious. Their sides were also great and arrived piping hot. Prices are also very reasonable for BBQ. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch

I absolutely loved the brisket sandwich at this restaurant. There are plenty of gluten-free options available, the service was excellent, and the food was incredibly delicious. The staff is very knowledgeable about dietary restrictions. This is a great spot for a takeout lunch, with prices ranging from CA$10-20 per person. I would give the food, service, and atmosphere all a rating of 5 out of 5. I highly recommend trying the Beef Brisket Sandwich.

Two reviews in one. Came here a week ago for a pulled pork sangie. It was over-the-top delicious! Came back again after an airport run and had the beef brisket sangie. It was even better. I burped and enjoyed that smokie aftertaste all the way back to Comox. This is my Nanaimo go to when I come down-island. Fantastic staff, delicious food. We dined in for dinner and the price per person was between CA$20–30. We rated the food and service both a 5, while the atmosphere scored a 4. Highly recommend trying the cornbread and BBQ ribs.
