Sokyo - Réservation de table

This restaurant has been on my list to try for awhile. The toro was exceptional and the wagyu beef was a close second. The other items we had were also amazing (including the Japanese scallop, miso kingfish, tai nori, whitning tempura, kingfish furikake and spicy edamame. They were out of the smaller sakes so we got a carafe and it was delightful and fresh (heiwa tsuruume yiuzushu). Pretty pricey sushi wise so not for the faint hearted. Noise wise the music was quite loud at times and didn't quite go with the Japanese vibe. Service wise they were run off their feet but food was super quick. The sake actually took the longest at like 25 30 minutes and we already had a couple dishes on the tab...

We were not supposed to eat here but, since we did not make reservations for my friend's graduation lunch at the buffet in The Star, we ended up dining here. What I love about Sokyo was the unpretentious dishes. They were what they were supposed to be, balanced flavours, well seasoned, authentic Japanese dishes. One of the best miso soups I have ever tasted, so I recommend having it with whatever you order here.  Fine dining experience at its finest in terms of the interiors of the restaurant. They have a bar area where people can dine if they do not have a reservation. I recommend booking before hand. The only negative about this place was the service was quite slow.

Un endroit préféré de fréquence avec un buffet inspiré japonais et de délicieux repas à la carte. Habituellement, je vais pour les œufs Benoît, car le bacon érable est vitré, mais décida d'aller pour le petit déjeuner sumo cette fois-ci. Agréable de les remplir pour la journée. Le buffet est continental et possède toujours une gamme de pâtisseries et de tartes à choisir parmi certaines viandes et fromages de charcuterie. C'est un peu délicat d'avoir une table sans réservation, mais le décor est magnifique et le personnel est assez grand.

Pour le principal: Miso-Kabeljau est un must! Wagyu Beef était aussi assez délicieux. Les rôles de sushis n'étaient rien trop spécial que d'autres endroits. Le dessert doit être une rue Goma. Les restes étaient également délicieux. Réservez une table maintenant

Meilleure nourriture japonaise que nous avons eue. Il n'y avait pas de cour que nous n'aimions pas. Nous avons même eu les cocktails au bar avant le dîner avant que notre table ne soit prête et qu'ils étaient fantastiques.

Food was beautifully presented but taste of pastries were a bit of a let down. Fruit platter was to share and was very fresh. I had the sokyonomiyaki and it lacked enough sauce.

I've been here for breakfast more than 5 times but haven't tried their dinner yet! Something to look forward too! But I love their breakfast.

Honnêtement, la meilleure doublure que j'avais cette année !! Je recommande le kingfish miso ceviche
