What to expect when you come to Sono; a warm and friendly welcome, a table in one of its many small alcoves, private and intimate spaces to share a meal with friends and family, a crisp, white tablecloth and beautiful, modern, funky service. I love above all the different shapes and sizes of bowls and vessels for soups, sachets and sauces; all in pure, bright white porcelain, the large plates and bowls with wide rims are beautiful and classic with a very modern Asian feeling. Amazing. Just had a big special birthday meal there. 15+ course (we all lost count) omakase meal and it was spectacular. Eat here at least 1 night a week of not more. I have eaten sushi just about everywhere worth eating in Boston and there are only 3 or 4 places that have the same quality of fish across the board... But you will pay 2 or 3 times as much for those meals. They never have anything that isn't great fish... So if it is in, expect it to be great. Usually some rotating specials of unusual seasonal fish both imported and local catches (really amazing mackerel from time to time). Look at the specials board to see. Go eat here! Keep this unexpected gem going strong!

We only had a great meal. A Beef Basil and a pad Thai. Great service and some unusual details. They removed the last shell from the shrimps, the brown rice had mixed in wild rice and the salad wrap appetizer was perfectly prepared.
