Sparrows Nest - Réserver une table

We have been regular customers since moving to the town years ago but have not visited ANY restaurants since March but have started to venture out this week. We were looking forward to an iced coffee sitting outside and were tempted by neighbouring establishments...that have nicely set up outside areas but decided to stay loyal to our favourite. Wish we hadn’t we were shocked to watch the server clear tables but NOT CLEAN THE TABLES between customers. You have been allowed to reopen on the understanding that proper precautions are taken to product YOUR customers. Will not be returning anytime soon.

been meaning to post for a while but just a shout out for their great breakfasts! Particularly recommend the avocado feta and bacon on toast. Although friends had salmon and also chorizo and liked them too. Happy to report that the crispy bacon is actually...crispy not like some places where its anaemic! The cakes also look fab if you're after a place for coffee and cake! Finished off with friendly service what more could you want!

Its interesting place to go for having tea or coffe or lunch. It’s small cafe on high street, behind the monument. Its very easy to get here. We park our car at waitrose and walk minutes. The food selection were limited but all look...interesting. Top floor always busy so we went to basement area which is Ok. The staff were friendly and we’ve got discount as we went here on tuesday. Soup, salad and quiche was delicious.

Delightful rather Old English setting. Order at reception and our tea was served promptly to a rather small table. Tables at the front and rear of the building. Excellent range of items.

I love their bacon sandwiches and the coconut latte is delicious. So friendly here. I can recommend this cafe. They kept going even during the lockdown.
