I had an unfortunate experience at this restaurant with the owner, Joe. We ordered a pizza and a salad, but the romaine in the salad was wilted, brown, and seemed to be decomposing. When we called to inform them about it, instead of offering a simple apology, the owner yelled at us for saying that the salad was inedible. He insisted that there was nothing wrong with the brown and wilting romaine, claiming that while it didn't look appealing, it was still safe to eat. We tried to explain that infected salad, particularly romaine lettuce, is a common source of foodborne illness, but our concerns were met with more shouting from the owner. While the food is undoubtedly good, we have had two very disappointing experiences with the management. There are plenty of other places to enjoy a decent Italian meal, so there’s no reason to endure such treatment here. We won't be coming back.
