I visited this restaurant shortly after the 2020 presidential election. The barista made assumptions about my political beliefs, which I found to be presumptuous and rude. As someone who has worked in customer service for 12 years, I know that discussing politics with customers is inappropriate. It is unprofessional for employees to engage customers in conversations about religion, children, politics, marriage, or pregnancy. I used to enjoy visiting this restaurant, but after this experience (which was not the first time politics had been brought up), I will not be returning. The staff at the Starbuck's kiosk located at Safeway on King Rd in Milwaukie are exceptional in making my Mocha Frappe just the way I like it! It's brilliant to have them in grocery stores, as it takes a lot of energy to navigate through crowded shops. Regardless of which branch or chain I visit, dealing with the crowds, disgruntled shoppers, and overwhelmed employees can be exhausting. That's why it's so refreshing to have a quick pit stop at this location amidst the chaos. Thank you to the Starbucks team at Safeway on King Rd - you guys rock! Your example shines bright even in the toughest of times.
Andy did a fantastic job making my drink perfectly! They appeared a bit nervous, as if they were new, but they did a fantastic job. Also, the female manager provided excellent customer service. When someone mistakenly took her drink and started to leave, she noticed and quickly addressed the situation, offering to fix it. The staff here works hard and provides great customer service. Thanks to all the staff for their dedication, even when dealing with difficult customers.
The staff at this restaurant is friendly, helpful, and fun. I really enjoyed my experience here. (However, it should be noted that there is no drive-thru at this establishment. I shop at the Safeway where this Starbucks is located. I sometimes stop by to grab a few items when the other registers are busy. The coffee and food here are just like any other Starbucks. Google always prompts me to share my thoughts on this Starbucks location whenever I am nearby.
