We had a bad experience at this restaurant. We ordered a dish not on the menu. The pasta was very salty and not edible. The kitchen is open and you can hear everything, the owner seemed upset even before we told them the dish was bad and his wife said in a very loud voice I am not taking that dish off the bill. Would they pay for food that was not edible? This is very bad business. I don’t mind paying for good food but when it’s not good they should either tried to make it right or not charged for it. They never came over to talk about it. Was not removing it off the bill worth loosing a good customer. How much did it really cost in the first place? I guess they don’t need my business. They...
Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by the owner, and later had a nice chat with her husband, who is the co-owner and chef. The restaurant is named in honor of their daughter. We started with the calamari appetizer, which was perfectly cooked and offered a generous portion. For our main course, we enjoyed chicken dinners that were both flavorful and sizeable, with two pieces of chicken each. The desserts were also satisfying; they offer Juniors' cheesecake along with a nice selection of other sweet treats. Our servers were friendly and attentive throughout our meal. Overall, we had a very enjoyable experience and definitely plan to return. Plus, the prices were quite reasonable.
I responded, "I often order this type of dish at many restaurants and always add cheese. It would have been nice to hear your explanation then, instead of hearing you yell and your wife saying from across the restaurant that she wouldn't take it off the bill." I wished him the best and suggested he might consider a different line of work if this is how he handles situations in his restaurant. His reply was a casual "Lol don’t need luck. I’ve been in this business for 23 years." So, just think twice before making a reservation at Stephanie’s.
Stephanie's features a charming outdoor seating area accessed through the back entrance. The service, from the hostess to the waitstaff, is outstanding. However, the indoor seating can feel a bit cramped. I would have rated them five stars, but I found the food to be somewhat disappointing. While the mozzarella in carrozza was delicious, the fiocchi were slightly undercooked, and the accompanying sauce lacked flavor. Despite this, I would be willing to return and sample other dishes. I had a wonderful early birthday celebration for my uncle at this restaurant. The food, service, and atmosphere were all incredible! Our server, Michelle, was outstanding and provided fantastic recommendations. We tried the Veal Chop, Sea Scallops, Fiocchi, Warm Toffee Bundt Cake, and Apple Streusel, among other dishes, and everything was delicious.
