The restaurant is now managed by the children of the previous owner, who ran it as a buffet. After moving away, I returned for the first time in a couple of years. The place has been completely remodeled and is now smaller inside, no longer operating as a buffet. It's very clean and has a nice atmosphere. The quality of the food is significantly better compared to the buffet style it used to offer, which is reflected in the slightly higher prices. I tried the General Tso's chicken, which was freshly made, along with fresh fried rice. The egg roll was also freshly fried and wonderfully crispy.
I had lunch at this restaurant, and it wasn’t crowded. The service was decent. I ordered the fried catfish, but it was undercooked. My husband asked the server to crisp it up more. The catfish wasn’t farm-raised, and the flavor was a bit too fishy for my liking. I also tried a Mai Tai, which unfortunately made me feel really sick, and I had to lay down in the car and take an antacid. My husband got mussels, which were overly salty and had an excessive amount of garlic. I don’t think I’ll be returning to this restaurant.

This was my first time visiting Storming Crab Cross Keys, and I must say it was a great experience. Our waiter was excellent, frequently checking in to ensure we had everything we needed. The food was delicious and served at the right temperature. I gave it four stars mainly because the restaurant wasn’t very busy during my visit, so there wasn’t much hustle and bustle. Still, I really enjoyed the meal, and the prices were reasonable.

I had lunch here and it wasn't busy. The service was good. I had fried catfish that was undercooked. My husband asked the server to crisp the fish more. The catfish wasn't farm raised and the taste was too fishy for me. I had a Mai Tai drink which made mereally sick. I had to go lay back in the car and eat and antacid. I called to place an order at 8:27 PM, keeping in mind they close at 9 PM. When I arrived at 8:41 PM, I was told they were already closed. The man at the door shouted that if there were no customers, they close at 8:15. This is extremely poor service, and none of this information is stated on their website. This experience was disappointing, and I will not be coming back.
We dined in. Atmosphere is good. Demetrius, our server, was efficient and still fun. We ordered combo 6, it was the perfect amount of food for the 2 of us. We ordered garlic butter mild, and loved it. We could still taste the seafood thru the seasoning. They provided bibs and appropriate utensils, and wet naps at the end.
I picked up my DoorDash order from Storming Crab Cross Keys and was warmly greeted as soon as I walked in. They provided an accurate wait time, and my order arrived hot and ready right on schedule. Thanks to the management and staff for the excellent service—keep up the great work!
