suggitts is probably the most popular place in great ayton. it consists of a small sweet shop and a caffe based around a type of 50's/60's design. the sweet shop is one of the old fashioned with large glasses of sweetness on the display where they ask for the quarter of them etc. there is also a more modest selection of sweets only on the counter before them. the main attraction but of suggitts must really be the ice cream. on a hot day, the waiting queue is literally out of the door, with cyclists and young families who are queuing for 99’s and ice-wafer. the caffe part is small and usually very busy. there is a selection of hot drinks and scenes in the offer as well as some other small caf...

many selection of sweets in this popular small shop, very colorful interieur with the counter display that awakens several joyous. but I went to taste the famous ice cream and yes, it was delicious. I had a medium 99 that cost £1.70, glad I didn't have a little!
Delicious homemade ice cream that can be enjoyed in a near by park. It’s hard to describe the taste of this original homemade icecream but it’s possibly the best 99 Cone you’ll ever have. They also serve icecream sandwiches if that’s what you prefer.

Suggitts is a treasure of the North-east, offering fantastic ice-cream available nowhere else! Also part of Captain Cook's walking trail around the area with a lovely river and waterfall area to sit by and eat ice cream
Best ice cream in the area and great value cafe. A local institution : Thankfully now fully open again after Covid restrictions, including sit in cafe. Can get very busy on weekends and holidays, so plan accordingly.
My wife and I frequently travel from Saltburn with our young family to enjoy some ice cream, pick and mix, and a cup of tea, and sometimes even an occasional cuppa.
I reached the bottom of the dish and still couldn't find the lemon on top... not a hint of it anywhere!
