What is a food court ? I think I know. It 's a place where you convict bad food! Isn 't it funny that shopping centres call them food courts such a bad use of terminology. Or that when you choose to fly, you leave from a terminal . Another poor choice of words that lean towards something finite. Like your death. Or an end! Ohhhh...but we do live in a world where you are innocent until proven guilty, so I opted for the democratic food court . Well I wan 't poisoned, but Jeez, I was hungry, and after eyeing down the McDonalds and Red Rooster big names, I tried to find something that was healthy amidst the obvious culinary carnage. I enjoyed a complimentary salad (with dressing this time!) from Sumo Salad on my birthday. All I had to do was sign up for their newsletter by downloading the Sumo app and registering. Plus, I received a $5 credit to use. What a nice promotion! Just a quick note: I've since realized that the dressing has always been available, but you often need to ask for it, as not all staff members offer it. A few other things to mention about the franchise: the staff is friendly, the benches are clean, the service is quick, and they maintain the usual variety that Sumo Salad is known for.
I tried the Genki salad at Sumo Salad today, and it was nothing like the picture. It consisted mainly of noodles, lettuce, and a dressing that tasted similar to Caesar salad dressing. I found it absolutely disgusting, and at $12, I felt completely ripped off. I returned to ask if I had received the correct salad, and the staff confirmed that I had. When I inquired about the excessive amount of noodles and pointed out that it didn’t resemble the photo, they insisted that it did. Take a look at my photo and decide for yourself. It was truly disappointing.

after a movie to a late lunch in the opposite. the three salads of the Greek quinoa, the classic kartoffel and the salmon caesar. really liked the quinoa it was very fresh, much taste and an ice-twist on a Greek salad. kartoffel was beautiful and creamy. salmon caesar was another good alternative to huh. service was fast and it is definitiw a better option than some of the other shops in the garden city food court!
They refused to prepare a salad for me because they were closing soon, and it was only 3 o'clock! It would have been fine if there had been enough salad options left, but all the good ones were gone. The customer service was disappointing. I usually eat at this place, but it's not the healthiest option. This experience reminded me of why I'm not a fan of Sumo-Salat! The Garden Town location has the worst food!
Just a quick note: I discovered that the dressings are available, but sometimes you have to ask for them because not all employees offer them.
