But the person running to food to the tables served our dinner to the wrong table. We knew right away because it was the food we ordered (me steak; husband halibut) and the other people said they ordered steak but also salmon. Food was ok. We split several apps. Taquitos were ok. Chicken egg rolls were a bit dry. Good thing there was plenty of sauce. The braised beef sliders were good. Service was below what we would expect. Seated outside at our request by hostess and went downhill from there. Bread brought out right away. Waiter or what we thought was our server asked if we wanted a water. He left and another server asked what we wanted to drink. We were seated promptly outside, and the staff was friendly. However, as it got busier, they seemed overwhelmed. The singer was so loud that it was difficult to have a conversation without shouting. The food arrived late and the vegetable frittata was dry and overcooked. Although they offered salsa, it was not brought to us until after we had finished our meal. They were generous enough to give us free dessert, but we probably won't return for brunch.
I’m sorry but we walked in and good not continue being in the restaurant. It smelled horrible, like old very pungent parmesan cheese smell and it was horribly stuffy. It was too cold to sit outside but we had to walk out. Just being honest, I would do a whole deep clean of the restaurant with brand new, clean rags and nice smelling products and a very extensive airing out of the place. The Cioppino is excellent! I have liked the way the dishes are prepared here since they first opened. They have a lamb burger that I think is awesome. Eating that on the patio with friends is always a very pleasant break. I've eaten at the Sundried Tomato many times over the years and I trust and like it.
The food took a little while to come out, but it was well worth the wait as it was made to order. It was hot, fresh, and delicious. I highly recommend dining at this restaurant!
