I went here for the first time on a Thursday to place a lunch To Go order for my co-worker and me. Knowing it was lunch rush time, I was prepared for a small wait. I was surprised when I walked in at 12:07 pm to see the Diner about 1/3 full, with about half of the patrons already eating. One couple (Couple A) walked in just before me and they were the only ones in line to be seated. The Diner had only 1 server and, what appeared to be 1 bus-person/prep/dishwasher for the building and Couple A was seated after 2-3 minutes. So far so good! The server came back to me and asked if I was just 1, to which I replied I only wanted to place a To Go order. The server said, ok, handed me a menu and sai...
Oh, my God. This is my new favorite diver. Everything was so delicious. The French toast was the thickest slices I've ever seen, the sausage links were fat and thicker than 2 thumbs, bacon perfect. The coffee was heavenly, I usually have to drink my joe in flavored creamier and sweeter, but this brew tasted GOOD. The stalls are size-friendly, and this is the only diner-style food I've ever experienced that no greasy stomach pain gave me an hour later. The decor is also cool, arta eclectic-warm-industrial. Unbelievable.
The Manager asked me to leave the restaurant, because he felt my service animal was not a service animal. She has been fully trained. He did not come over to the table. But sent the waitress over. My husband when he was alive we would go there every Sunday. My service dogs wears a cooling vest. To keep her cool. She was laying at my feet. We were seated in a spot where she could not go under the table. I will never go to Sunny's again. The manager did not have the guts to come speak with me. Or see that she had a card.
This is the first time, in all my reviews, that I'm not writing so much a review as a love letter to a restaurant! This place is great! Home made EVERYTHING! The prices wouldn't make you think that, but it is. Bread, buns, hash browns that are NOT dehydrated. There is a lot of care that goes into the planning of the menu. Service was fast for every table being full. Portion sizes were enough for three people! Absolutely great. I'm really glad I finally tried this place.
Best hamburger I've ever eaten! I ordered a Ruben hamburger. Yes that's what I said. It was a hamburger with corn beef on top plus all the traditional Ruben makings. The french fries were just perfect as well as the onion rings. We came at lunch time and on a snow day. I believe they were short staffed but the service was good and the food excellent. I'll be back for sure ?
Was there about 1030 am today. Ordered a burger and a Coke. A different wait bought my burger then who I ordered from. When the wait staff who I ordered from come to check on me I had to ask about my Coke. She had forgotten all about it. Then she wanted to argue when I said something. I think her name was Mindy.
The food was quite generous and delicious. The pancakes are huge. The toast is fresh bread, but they give only one slice. The breakfast sausage is great. The coffee is beautiful and strong. It was busy and had only one waitress we saw. But she was amazing. It's great if you're not in a hurry.
