I been eating here for a while. My son loves the sushi there and it’s always nice to go but today was a little different. I have a two year old as well and he has autism which causes him to stim (for the ppl the have no knowledge a stim is a self-regulatory behavior it can be of all types) my son in particular sounds like loud humming (ahhhhhhh). I understand it can be loud but there is nothing I can do to prevent it. He stims in and out not constantly. While waiting for our drinks he was stimming and the waitress approached me and asked me to quiet him because it was “disturbing my(her) customers”. Rude and hostile service that ruined what would have been a nice meal. Finding an insect in our soup was not a big deal. It’s summer. What was a big deal was the hostile reception I received after notifying the server that I was served the incorrect plate. A simple switch would have been fine. Instead, I received no apology, no acknowledgement that a mistake was made. They happen. But I was made to feel like I inconvenienced the server. Going out to eat is meant to be an enjoyable experience. Not a stressful, uncomfortable, unpleasant one like we had.
Great place to eat. The food is always delicious and the staff is very welcoming. They accommodate my rambunctious toddler every time we visit. I highly recommend the kids menu. My son always devours his meals with no complaints. No need to travel all the way to downtown Chicago for a great dinning experience when you can visit this lovely restaurant in La Grange.
I recently ordered food from Sushi Ukai for a party at my home. FABULOUS!! The food was delicious, the presentation beautiful, and Anna was wonderful and so helpful. Their food was a huge hit with my guests. Highly, Highly Recommend Sushi Ukai.

I ordered the sushi and sashimi combo. The ingredients were very fresh and delicious, and the sashimi was also very thick! I also ordered spider rolls which were also delicious~ I will want to try other set meal meals
Came in for a quick snack! The place is very clean, organized and calm. The waitress was very helpful and also the service was quick! I tried the Mexican roll which sounded unique and it was delicious and very fresh.
Small restaurant, but the sushi is fantastic. Been coming here for years, and my favorite is the Chicago roll! Service is good, staff is always friendly. It can get quite busy during the weekends, so call ahead!
Really good food, nice quiet place to talk. Hot and sour soup is very good, and I recommend the bento box!
