Took my 2 boys here and they loved it! We had to park a way away as this is on a main road. We were the only people eating in the evening we went so service was swift, attentive and helpful. I wish I had taken pictures of the food but we were all hungry after a busy day at Thorpe park, food was an average sized dish which is great because we all get full on Indian food quickly and always leave loads. We took a variety of dishes from vegetarian, meat dishes, spicy and mild and cannot fault any. All dishes came super hot, well presented and most of all very tasty!! The food we received was of low quality. Starting with the onion bhaji's which looked like hockey pucks and we're greasy and bland. Next up Chicken Madras again lacking real flavour, chicken rubbery and the sauce not rich. King prawn korma with just 6 prawns and not very tasty, bland and watery Naan bread, slightly stale flavour and not good quality. Tarka Dahl, was really watery and no flavour at all. We were really looking forward to a nice Indian meal and we feel that this was really poor and not aligned with other ratings. Simply the best Indian restaurant in the Surrey by far, hands down, no questions asked! The food is of immense quality and is always tasty and packed with authentic fantastic flavours all for very very reasonable prices, it simply is the best Indian restaurant in Surrey don't bother going to any other Indian restaurant in Surrey it's a waste of time and money the Taj Mahal is honestly that good! 2 main dishes ok, had to wait too long before rice came out. Veg curry side and potato side dish tasted like mayflower curry powder not Indian. It was ok but unfortunately wouldn't come back, waiter was not welcoming.. I don't think he even spoken to us, just rolled his eyes and would walk off and return with any requests just felt uncomfortable. I visited yesterday with a few friends and from start to finish great service, very knowledgable in terms of what dish would be best suited for me. A lot of my friends and family dine in here on a regular basis, and I see why! Great evening and tasty food will be returning. Thanks for a lovely meal! I've eaten here for 25 years and never EVER been disappointed. Friendly staff you can always have a laugh with. AMAZING quality food cooked by a superbly talented chef who will happily make something slightly different if you ask, removing nuts or making something spicier etc. I've moved away now, but it's one of the places I miss the most in the entire country!
