Attended 23 Jul 5pm for dinner as we wished a nice view and had been here at least 10 years ago. Were seated down right away with out reservations, windows were opened to smell the nice breeze of the river. Nothing seemed changed in this area, and felt like a over hang with a glassed in sun room. Tables small, no table cloth and seemed quite a casual eating area. Our waitress was very pleasant, nice smile, and new her wines. Drinks came in good time and immediately ordered our food. I had roast lamb, Greek potatoes, salad. The meal came in very good time. We chose this restaurant as it has a beautiful view of the river and the reviews were awesome. I loved the ambiance and river views. It was everything I expected! The service staff was wonderful and accomodating. Our meal was disappointing due to the roasted lamb. Its 'melt in your mouth' review did not follow through for me. The Greek salad was flavourless. However, the greek coffees were really good as was the bugatsa! We will more than likely not go there again.
We had dinner overlooking the Fraser River and couldn't have been treated better. The food was everything you would expect from a Greek restaurant and the owner went out of his way to accommodate us. For five people, we ordered the appetizer tray and an entree tray and had more than enough food. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.
While in the Vancouver area for a wedding, our nephew arranged for a family dinner at this well recommended Greek Restaurant. The restaurant has great atmosphere with a picturesque setting in New Weatminster. Their food and service , was second to none. Would highly recommend and we will definitely be going back our next trip down there. Réservez une table maintenant
Our family and friends have been going to this restaurant for over 30 years. Our business holds regular group lunches, celebrations and retirements there. The staff are friendly and courteous, the view over the river is always worthwhile and better with the new Pier park below. Have never had a bad meal or experience.
We had a great meal and a great time at Taverna. The service was amazing, as were the views and the food. We shared appetizer and dinner platters that gave us a sampling of most of the menu. Everything was delicious. Bugasta for dessert is highly recommended. Thank you for making our evening a delight.
Great experience from the reservation process to paying the bill!! Service was friendly, efficient and not left wanting anything. View of Fraser River and the River Park was very relaxing. Party of 5. All meals, appetizers very good.Try the pitcher of Sangria. So good!! We will definitely return.
