Where shall I begin? We were near the bar and our view consisted of dirty drink glasses the entire 1.5 hours. The service was slow. The apps took like 30+ mins and were cold by the time we got them. The food was expensive and extremely overpriced. Three of us got pasta and they came out in small soup bowls. I got a shrimp pasta that was supposed to have oil olive and garlic. The garlic was scarce and the tatse was bland. There was a skin of unknown origin in my pasta I found halfway through. My son had an overcooked meatball in his pasta. I had a wonderful experience on Saturday night during the Wayne Music Festival. They seated us outside promptly, which was great. I tried a refreshing and delicious dark rum Jamaican drink that was a specialty for this month. For an appetizer, I had the cornmeal and rice flour-coated artichokes, which were amazing, along with some baby potatoes tossed in butter, salt, and parsley – simple and absolutely delicious. For my main course, I ordered the classic chicken parm served with linguine in a fresh tomato sauce. I loved the panko breading on the chicken, which gave it a wonderful texture, along with the fresh mozzarella. Overall, it was a fantastic meal!
I went on Sunday night with the thought of eating outside; was told outside was not open, despite one table seated. Upon leaving, another table was seated! So I got a takeout; kale/falafel salad: the kale should have either been massaged or chopped smaller every cook knows that. Pretty rough and not enough ingredients to justify its price. The house made falafel was almost burnt, and very dry and was gritty! No one wants sand like substance in their food. I couldn't eat it. Howevever, I had a small German draft beer while waiting for my order and it was very good, and the bartender offered great service.
The food was very good, but the service was so bad that it's hard to consider going back. 2 fried apps and 2 small pizzas was about a 2 and a half hour dinner service. We got two beers and each one took about 20 minutes to get from order to the table. Nothing was ever said about how long everything was taking, and the two tables next to us were also making comments about how slow the service was, saying that they weren't going to order a drink bc the first one took 30 minutes. Maybe it was an off night.

I’ve ordered from this restaurant before and had an excellent experience, but I was very disappointed this time. I can't believe they allowed a $30 dish to leave the kitchen burnt. I ordered the Gamberetti, and the shrimp and tomatoes were charred and overcooked. The shrimp was tough and inedible.
We ordered two pizzas, and both were overcooked and uncut. We also got two orders of cannolis, which had melted because they were placed on top of the hot food. The pasta lacked flavor, and overall, the meal was inedible. We were extremely disappointed, and it felt like a waste of money!
I've ordered from Teresa's Cafe in the past and was happy with the food. Unfortunately, today's experience was not the same. The chicken was tough and definitely not tender. The garlic bread was as hard as a rock. I was extremely disappointed, to say the least.
Halifax Donair is fantastic! Their beer selection is excellent too. I returned and tried the Big Bad Wolf Burger special, and it was amazing, especially when paired with the De Dolle Oerbier.

An excellent restaurant and bar in the Belgian style. Food is generally very good, phenomenal list of beers on taps, and knowledgeable bartenders.
This is a fantastic bar. Outstanding beer selection, great food and a knowledgeable staff. It's worth the trip.
