Went with partner. Ordering took a while. We waited for a bottle of wine for 20-30 minutes. Eventually we asked, and the waitress came back and apologised that the wine we ordered was out of stock. With nothing else on the list appealing to us, I went out and bought wine. Getting wine glasses took another 10 minutes. Three times I asked for extra chilli, each time it was slow to come, or I had to remind them. The food was passable, we had choo chee jey, and tofu larb jey. The staff were very pleasant, but they need a better system for managing tables.
I don't know if we got them on a bad night but hardly anyone in when we visited but still took about 20 minutes to get someone to actually take our order and then another 30 mins after that to be told our wine choice from menu wasn't available. My partner opted to go to bottle shop to get wine and then when he got back another 10 minutes to get glasses. The food finally came and it was good but not exciting...missed the flavour and dancing in the mouth. As I said good for the price but I wouldn't rush back
This little gem was such a lucky find! It looks like nothing special from outside, but the service was good and quick, the menu had plenty of options and the dishes we got were outstanding! My favourite was the Lao pork sausage and the green papaya salad (we are chilli lovers so ordered it hot, i would advise medium even for spice-fiends!). I will be returning whenever I'm in Brisbane.
This is a hidden gem! They make an amazing Massaman curry and price wise it is very very reasonable. This place is BYO too although atmosphere isn't their strength. Also ordered the green curry with chicken and chicken Panang. Both were nice but the Massaman is what we'll be coming back for. The satay chicken was really nice too.

This restaurant is basic inside, but the service is very friendly and the staff are very friendly. The food was of a high standard, with a lot of choice on the menu. Good cheap option in The Valley.
This restaurant on the Brunswick Street Mall serves good (but not remarkable), reasonably priced Thai food and the service is good with very friendly staff.

The staff are so cool and know their stuff about food.
We always go to this restaurant if we wanna have authentic Thai food. Also, we always have family dinner there too.

Really nice Thai food and good service. We go there regularly for lunch and normally get a stir fry or a pad Thai
As far as cheap Chinatown asian that delivers on quality, Thai Wi-Rat has got to be right up there.
