I was very disappointed with this restaurant. My workplace often orders food for guests, and we decided to try this place, but it didn’t go well. We ordered through Grubhub, and either they need to coordinate better with Grubhub regarding combo options, or they simply forgot to include the fries. When we called to fix the issue, the person on the phone was unhelpful. We were charged an extra $4 for the combo but only received the burger and drink—no fries. The woman on the phone told me to deal with Grubhub, but it’s their responsibility to verify orders are correct before handing them to the driver. I won’t be ordering from here again.
The burgers at That Burger Joint are generally quite tasty, and I like that they offer a lettuce wrap option for those following a low-carb diet. However, the fries portion feels insufficient. Even when I order a large, it's rarely filled to the top; today, it was only about three-quarters full. So, I end up paying for a large but receiving something closer to a small. On a positive note, Five Guys serves delicious burgers and ensures you get the full amount of fries you order. With so many burger options available, That Burger Joint will need to make some improvements if they want to keep me coming back.

I discovered some large bone fragments in the patty, which is something I would expect from a gas station or convenience store, not a specialty burger restaurant. I ordered a Chicago hot dog, but the bun was quite cold. Aside from that, it was a typical char dog with all the classic toppings, and the service was friendly and efficient. I arrived less than five minutes after they opened at 11:30, so perhaps not everything was fully prepared yet. They share the space with Oberweis Dairy, and the entire dining area has a strong ice cream scent, which might not appeal to everyone.
