The Barn At Moor Hall

We traveled to Lancashire to dine at The Barn at Moor Hall. We arrived early and after a stroll through the beautiful grounds, we enjoyed drinks on the terrace. I ordered a cocktail called Lion's Tooth. For dinner, we opted for the a la carte menu. I started with the cured Cornish mackerel and had the hake for my main course. We were pleasantly surprised to receive a selection of amuse-bouches before our meal. My favorite was the early pea velouté, although the coppa was a close second. Expensive and worth every penny. Had beef tartare and oyster, followed by turbot. Pudding was pannacota. Had delicious amuse bouche, magical green broth in addition to ordered courses. Great service and atmosphere. Brought wines for us to try to help us choose. Loved it.

Food is always absolutely fantastic, service is usually excellent. We’ve visited many times over the years and will continue to come back. Wayne the new sommelier is a brilliant addition to the team. He’s very knowledgeable/experienced, friendly and professional.

I went for Sunday lunch and had an absolutely amazing experience. The food was exceptional and the service was top-notch. It was definitely worth every penny. I would rate the service, food, and atmosphere all a 5 out of 5. The price per person was £60-70. Réservez une table maintenant

The restaurant has a lovely setting and an attractive dining area. The staff was attentive and friendly. However, the portion sizes were quite small and prices were high. It would be better if they offered more traditional meal portions.
