I visited this restaurant last week to celebrate my daughter's 8th birthday. The staff is very friendly and eager to please. It is a charming traditional pub located by the canal. The food is deliciously prepared and I want to give compliments to the chef. I have been there twice this month and each visit has been wonderful. This restaurant offers great value for money and is a fantastic choice for a family meal.
After reading reviews, we decided to give the Black Star a try. The food was delicious, the staff was friendly, and the prices were very reasonable. The only reason why I'm giving it a 4-star rating instead of a 5-star is because the seating was a bit uncomfortable. However, if I had the option, I would rate it a 4.5.

The service was fantastic, the meal was excellent, and the staff were very attentive. I would highly recommend this restaurant to both family and friends. We left with full bellies and a great experience. 10/10.

Great spot for lunch, family of 17 walk in and we were welcomed by the landlady, food was delicious and waitress's were efficient and all orders correct highly recommend!!

We popped into the Black Star for a drink when on a dog walk. The staff were very polite and friendly the atmosphere was very relaxed and the food was great.
