The food at this restaurant is excellent! However, a friend of mine had a negative experience. They mentioned that when they entered the Bull Pen, it was quite dark, and nobody greeted them. They were unsure whether to wait for someone to seat them or to find a table on their own. After sitting for a while without anyone acknowledging them, they decided to leave. They were disappointed, especially since they had traveled all the way from Pratt. I reassured them that I had never encountered that issue and encouraged them to give it another try!
Took Kathy out for her Mother's Day steak at the Bull Pen this eve. Cooked to her liking, I took CPR training today (after I went to the right town)! If I had them paddles I could of brought that rib eye steak back to life!!! Food was great Myriam, the BBQ buffet was excellent as well. Can't beat the atmosphere. Love going there and unwinding, the staff is excellent!
We enjoyed some fantastic steaks tonight—Brad had a ribeye and I opted for a filet. Both were cooked to perfection and came with delicious potatoes and green beans. We had a complete meal along with a couple of drinks each, and it was very affordable! Thank you, Landwehrs, for being such a fantastic local spot! We'll likely see you again next weekend.

The food here is outstanding! This restaurant-bar is surprisingly spacious for a small town. However, be prepared to wait during busy nights, as the kitchen has its limitations. Consider booking the Bull Pen for your gatherings — just remember to call ahead if you want to reserve the pool table and jukebox area! Make sure to arrive hungry!
My grandson Lane said his hamburger was awesome on Friday night, and the rest of us agree—it was a five-star experience! Thank you all!
The food is as fantastic as the atmosphere and service! It's well worth the 1hr. 15 min. drive!
