The Chocolate Rooms

Six of us visited The Boskins after completing the annual scarecrow hunt. We only ordered 2 pints of Moretti, 2 waters, 2 diet cokes, and 3 ice cream cones. Since the weather was beautiful and all the seats were taken, we sat on the grass outside with many others. We were informed that there would be a 5-minute wait for our order to be brought out to us. However, waiting 50 minutes was unacceptable, especially since no cooking was involved in our order. When our order finally arrived, we were missing 1 pint of beer and an ice cream cone for one of the kids, resulting in another 15-minute wait for it to be rectified. Called in for some Sunday brunch and have to say it wasn't the best. Ordered coffee/tea with a sausage sandwich and poached egg on toast. We were shown to a table but no menus, I had to hunt down the ones we should have been given. The drinks were prompt and my coffee was nice no complaints there. However the food took 30 mins to arrive (cafe was not busy), the sausage sandwich was ok nothing great but the poached egg came over done and the toast was basically bread, not done. My partner asked for it to be taken back, she was offered something else but I think she was past caring at that stage. Food and service was exceptional, the head chef was very pleasant and polite when we came over to give our compliments, would recommend to anyone for the food and again the head chef was very accommodating to our party,

I had an incredibly delicious Christmas afternoon tea at this restaurant. The staff was welcoming and friendly, making the experience very enjoyable. Well done to the Boskins for providing such a great experience!

My wife and I stayed for just one night to celebrate our anniversary. We tried the 8-course meal with a Buskinac wine tasting menu. Everything - the food, wine, staff, and room - was exceptional.
