Okay, so I dropped a 5 star, but would have liked a middle ground between the 4.At the end of the day I was really taken aback by how scrumptious the food was! I mean, I'm in small town Ontario eating the best Indian food I have ever had. Note, I come with a expense account that charges 6 meals out a week and gained 14lbs in 4 months when I made VP (have since lost that thank goodness), in other words, I eat out a lot and at really great restaurants and private clubs, so when I say this was great Indian food, it takes a bit to get me there. Portions and price were spot on. The décor pleasant and not over the top like some Indian restaurants. The place is small, thus had a very cozy feel. My date for the eventing an I shared a great table at the window. Not that Main Street viewing was great, but it was tucked in a little alcove and made for a nice setting. Now, this is a small restaurant run really by one guy I suspect. So, there was some concern with the service as it was not five star and we did wait some time before getting the bill. That said, I'm a forgiving guy when it comes to new Canadians who have taken bold leaps of faith to succeed here; and as the food was so good, have decided to overlook the service issue. Mind you my company for the evening was excellent! That always helps!I wish Syed, the owner, and his chief wonderful success going forward. Still a little shocked that Acton has a chief from Mumbai that left a 5* resort and restaurant to end up here?!?! There is now another reason that makes it "Worth the drive to Acton"!
