Fantastic culinary experience……… My wife and I, along with our dear friends visited The County restaurant, 13 The Green, Aycliffe Village, County Durham today, Saturday the 19th of March 2022). As soon as we walked in we were warmly greeted by a lovely waitress/ hostess called Claire. She showed us to our table , gave us some menus and took our drinks order. We all chose different starters and mains. Kieran, our waiter, brought our meals and we were not disappointed. early evening meal in the graphic, the pub was very busy, but eating was ordered abs brought us without too much of a wait, so much choice and allergies. determined to pick spade with fried egg in a Hollandaise sauce, which was on and for a main course I was served for belly pork with black pudding served on apfel and kartoffel mash. determined a pudding was too much the choice was very tempting.

I discovered this restaurant and what a gem it is! It's only a 15-minute drive from my home. The staff is incredibly friendly and courteous, providing a high standard of customer service. The food was outstanding, especially the belly pork with Stornoway black pudding. The building is beautiful and located in a lovely setting. I highly recommend this place.

the county is a hidden gem. embedded in a quiet village, it overlooks the village green. room spacious and well furnished, I still have a more flawless hotel to find. fantastic breakfast and very good choices. in any case a place to visit again. Réservez une table maintenant

an absolutely high-quality meal for two. the chips that are cooked in the meat drop are exceptional. the largest part of cheese and cookies I have ever seen to share more than enough for 2. highly recommended.

Great choice on menu, food was lovely, staff were really nice and very professional. Only negative was some of food had clearly sat under hot lights long enough to develop a skin (2 out of 6 meals).

fantastic eating and beautiful rooms to great trips. the personal is brilliant and the bar has a large selection of local Cask ales to choose from. highly recommended

Fantastic sunday lunch, a few too many flies in the dining room but the food was next level the desserts looked stunning so will be back back try next time Réservez une table maintenant

yesterday visited with my partner and had an absolutely beautiful vegan meal. the personal was also beautiful and friendly. wants to visit again
