This was my second time visiting for breakfast at 9:00 AM, this time with a group of 12 men to feed. I can't praise it enough! The tables were beautifully set, and we had hot coffee and tea ready for us, along with toast and marmalade. The main dishes were served hot and included black pudding, hash browns, beans, and everything else you could want. The sausages were as delicious as I remembered—I had six! The fried eggs were perfectly cooked and fresh upon arrival. The host was fantastic and ensured that nothing was overlooked; there was always more food if we could manage it. This has been one of my favorite places to dine; the food and service have always been outstanding. I understand that food businesses can't get it right all the time, but on my last visit, the food was terrible—cheap cuts of meat and utterly tasteless. I prefer to give my feedback privately, so I called the next day and spoke with the business manager, Kerry. Her reaction was surprising; she made me feel like I was the problem for calling. I was truly taken aback by her rude and condescending demeanor. I have recommended this place to so many people in the past. Is this really how you value your customers, Kerry? I won't be returning anytime soon after this experience.
Called in for a drink the thatcher haze tasted like it's been in a wooden barrel for years and was cool not cold , so went for a Guinness for the next one. Mrs bought some smiths bacon fries for the grandson which he left some for later and only noticed when we got home that the sell by date was March 23.Come on check your stock people.

Stopped for lunch ahead of the countryside walk really, really lovely pub totally awesome burgers. One burger was beef, and the other one vegetarian. Both plates were empty at the end of the meal! Definitely recommend.
