The much heralded Sunday lunch proved to be a disappointment. Not a disaster by any means, just disappointing. The timing may have had something to do with it 14.00) as it was clear to me that a few items had been kept warm for too long affecting their taste. Eg. The Yorkshire pudding was like a very dark brown colour, dry with a cardboard texture. İt had clearly been lying around for too long keeping warm. Same could be said of the roast potatoes. Tough to cut through the outside due to a lack of crispness and lukewarm inside. Again they had clearly been waiting around keeping warm for too long. Same with the roasted carrots. Tough outer skin due to prolonged time keeping warm. The leeks an...

Stylish Soho gem with top-tier food, drinks, and service The Devonshire in Soho completely exceeded my expectations. It’s a perfect blend of classic British pub charm and modern Soho sophistication. The atmosphere is warm and lively, with beautifully restored interiors, a great buzz, and a touch of old-school elegance. The food was outstanding—elevated pub fare with real attention to detail. I had the steak (cooked over an open flame), and it was hands-down one of the best I’ve had in London. The menu feels refined without being pretentious, and every dish coming out of the kitchen looked just as impressive. Drinks were equally excellent, with a well-curated list of wines, spirits, and prope...

Wow! We had an amazing experience at the Devonshire. We were seated early and had very attentive staff who were very quick at serving (without feeling rushed) We shared the scallops, which were amazing! Then had the ribeye steak, which was delicious. One of the nicest ones we’ve had out in a while. We also got the Guinness pie, which was nice. Quite strong on flavour, so be careful! For sides we got chip’s and creamy leeks, both 10/10. At this point we were stuffed but got the sticky toffee. Also 10/10. Definitely not a cheap eat out, but certainly memorable

I liked the starters the most: the scallops and tomato tart were amazing. The grilled lamb chops were too fatty and tasted like pork chop. The signature soufflé was drowned in rum and I could hardly stand it. The atmosphere of the restaurant was nice and vibrant but the food needed improvement. Service was okay but the waiters were not attentive at times. Réservez une table maintenant

Superb food, T-Bone was splendid, wine was lovely and of course the Guinness was as good as it gets. My only complaint was there was no AC downstairs. I asked for the door to be opened to let some air in and the manager refused. The staff were suffering downstairs as well. The upstairs dinning area was cool and had AC.

Service was the weakest part of the meal. Would have had a couple more pints easily but service was not very attentive. Not bad enough to be a 3, but not better than a 4. Even splitting the cheque was an issue.

We’ve got Sunday roast to share, as the portion is huge. It was delicious! And the Guinness is good too.

Awesome Guinness and one of the best Sunday roast spots in London. Try and get the terrace in summer. Réservez une table maintenant
