I’ve come to this place since I was little and after not having been for a few years I was absolutely delighted to find so many vegan options for my visit this time! There are vegan starters, mains and deserts and other adaptable items in addition to these options. I enjoyed the “award winning vegan pie” on our first night followed by the “vegan sticky toffee pudding”, and when we came back the next day (couldn’t resist) I enjoyed the moving mountains plant based burger. Wonderful food in a magical country pub, the evening ambience on a summers evening is not to be missed. Eating outside is a must!! Parking is easy and plentiful nearby either directly opposite in spaces or in nearby streets...

Intrigued by the oldest pub in Worcestershire claim, we decide to visit the Fleece Inn, on a rainy tuesday. The exterior looked 15th Century, wonky timber frame building giving plenty of character, stooping as we entered avoiding lower timber beams around the bar. Asked if we had made a reservation, we replied no, quite surprised how busy it was for midday. Deciding just to have a drink at the bar, which is well stocked. The interior remains unchanged for centuries or at least a well done restoration by the National Trust, the current owners. You could almost expect Oliver Cromwell to walk in, which he once did, offsetting a huge bar bill by exchanging his pewter tableware, on display in one...
After being told it was a lovely place with excellent food we decided to go for lunch. Oh dear lord. Staff are very poorly prepared, food bland and cold. Meat was very thickly cut and tough, gravy translucent and the veg was non existent. Wasn’t checked back on by anyone, sat with two empty glasses and no refills offered. Asked for the bill and continued to sit there until we decided to pay at the bar. Locals stood in the very tiny bar area blocking customers trying to pay for their food. Won’t recommend, won’t return. You can do so much better here but you clearly don’t care enough to do so. Kinda sad as it’s a really quirky place. Service: 1 Location: 1
I would definitely give this place 5 stars if I could. Everything about it was incredible. The food was DELICIOUS I had the vegan pie and chips followed by the sticky toffee pudding, and it was sooo tasty. My boyfriend is a meat eater and he loved his food too. It was a cute, cosy pub with a fire, so the atmosphere was brilliant. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. My boyfriend said he wished he could eat here every day. Would highly recommend. Great atmosphere, dog friendly, good vegan options. Able to veganise some dishes at request and staff went out of their way to accommodate e.g. the burger can be veganised by removing brie, but after a discussion on how vegan cheese has improved over the years, the waitress went out of her way to check what they had in the kitchen, found other vegan cheese and asked if we'd like that added. Two pudding options too! We will be back...
Absolutely the best country pub I've been in. Lovely atmosphere, friendly helpful staff. Great food and great beer. Wish I lived in the village it would definitely be my local. Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Kid-friendly
Lovely old pub that could do more to relay their history. Booked for Sunday lunch, the food came before the drinks. The food was very good but unfortunately no condiments were offered I.e apple sauce or horseradish. Hence the 3 stars.
Gorgeous building with a wonderful menu. They also do very tasty sandwiches. Service: 5 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Romantic, Quiet Réservez une table maintenant
