Before Christmas we visited il Mulino and had one the best meals we’ve had in years! After doing some research I realised il Mulino was not the new Fox, I thought they were the same place initially. Realising the Fox was still open we paid...a visit, we’ve not been since it was the previous names place (Fifteens or something like that). What struck me was the fact it was dog friendly so we paid a visit on a Saturday lunchtime. We sat right by a roaring fire all nice and cosy and were looked after by the most delightful team of people, I loved how the manager was visible at all times, greeting people and helping other teams members, this showed a genuine passion for the place. The food was ab...

our first time here in over 30 years (I am long gone and back recently, and have to say it was beautiful. the food delicious (see pictures! and the personal attentive and friendly. plus points. the personal, really good local ingredients, cooked to perfection and a very relaxed evening. No one pushes them to have more or to go when done, how often happens in others. perfect. negative points. well there are alwqy's negative, but to be fair, these real Nit fucks are. When we arrived, we were asked to eat bar and order drinks. when we proposed the very pleasant barman, we sit and he 'd come our order. Unfortunately, he was banged and that never happened. when the maitre de came to accompany us...

We met our family here after a two year absence due to the Pandemic. What a fantastic restaurant this is. We were all very impressed with the quality of the food that all seven of us had individually. Our server was a thoroughly charming Lady...whos name I dont know. This lady knew her job. Very Polite and helpful with our menu choices. The online menu is excellent but doesnt give you the full menu which more extensive than at first sight. The quality of the food was out of this world, truely home cooked no pinging here). Portions are large and very flavourful,as food used to be. Olde worldy and welcoming. We will be back very soon. Thank you for such great , informative service.

Three of us had lunch at The Fox on Thursday October well worth the drive from Manchester! The food exceeded expectations, surpassing the restaurants reputation and reviews. We received the warmest greeting and hospitality from Fiona who was knowledgeable about the wines, the...menu and offered interesting information about the local area. Proud and transparent about the provenance of ingredients and local suppliers, the food reflected this and was taste sensations' beautifully presented! We will certainly be back and would be happy to bring the dog, dine near the fire and make the best of such a lovely setting. Réservez une table maintenant

Excellent Meal, friendly staff. Much room for improvement. Our food was excellent but we had a catalogue of errors. Our server didn't know what lagers they had. Our lager shandy and lager was served to the wrong person. Got splattered with red liquid by mistake...when a server dropped a plate and no apology. We ordered a second bottle of the same wine and was informed they hadn't got a cold bottle and would we prefer a different wine. Forgot to charge for second bottle of wine which we had to ask to be added to the bill. All in all we will go back but for the price front of house needs to improve.

we visited here a high-time reception and the service was top-class. eating was fantastic, everyone said how nice their food was and served that many people at the same time was a fantastic effort from all. they had a few different ales and layners, and there was also a large outside area. very nice, and I want to come back for a Sunday dinner, as the bark looked fantastic!

Popped in to the pub after going to the pumpkin patch around the corner and had a lovely lunch recommend the soup and scotch egg! Also dog friendly with treats, water and dog towels! Will definitely visit again if we are in the area.
