The French Corner Bakery

The service was excellent! While some may enjoy the food, I found the pastries to be quite lacking and not authentic at all. We tried a croissant filled with cream and strawberries, as well as a blueberry Danish. The cream in the croissant tasted more like Cool Whip than real cream, and both fruit fillings tasted artificial. Additionally, the pastry itself in both the Danish and croissant had a texture reminiscent of hydrogenated oils rather than real butter, similar to what you might find at Dunkin Donuts. If you're in search of a genuine French bakery experience, this place is definitely not it.

This delightful spot offers genuine French desserts, pastries, and breads. The interior is charmingly adorned, featuring tables made from vintage sewing machine stands. The owner is frequently present, adding a personal touch to the experience. As a locally-owned family business, it's truly the best place to invest your time and money in Durham. There's ample accessible parking, making it an ideal location to bring your kids as well.

I cannot say enough good things about this amazing place. The head baker, Norma Garcia, is extraordinarily talented, having trained in French tradition of boulangerie and patisserie. She was able to prepare a millefeuille cake for me at the last minute for a memorial service, and the result was incredible. The shop is charming and cozy. Go check it out you won't be disappointed. Thank you so much, Norma, for saving the day!

This bakery is truly a hidden treasure. There's no other place quite like it, with its unique ambiance, outstanding service, and fresh, high-quality baked goods. It’s definitely worth a visit. You can sense the passion that goes into everything they make, and the variety is impressive. My personal favorite is their “peasant bread.” Réservez une table maintenant

We walked in and were warming welcomed. The woman working there was so helpful and passionate and helped recommend different loaves of bread for the dinner we were making. Made our dinner 100% better! So soft and tasty. We will be returning soon for more bread and sweet treats (which looked delicious :

I've been coming to this bakery since it opened with the last owner and have never been disappointed with any of their items. The current owner is always super sweet. Everything has always tasted fresh. My go-tos are the éclairs, almond croissants, macarons and tiramisu.

I 've never been more embarrassed for and by a baked good than I have by this locations bread. My goodness. Their sourdough loaf is EXACTLY like Walmart Great Value. I was shocked honestly. It 's identical.

We loved everything. Coffee was really good and all the food we tried was delicious. Almond croissant, blueberry Danish and spinach quiche. We highly recommend this bakery and we will definitely come back! Réservez une table maintenant

First timers. Cannoli was amazing as well as the Eclairs. Will definitely make it a regular stop. Atmosphere was very eclectic and warm and cozy.
