Now, here are the quirks. The decor was quite unusual. There were plastic plants emerging from wall sconces and similar faux foliage spilling out of ceramic lips pieces decorating the countertop. Really??? This was only in the bar area, so I haven't seen the main dining area, bathroom, or private rooms yet. The look gives off a cheap and odd vibe, more like a tiki bar than something you would expect in downtown CH.
As for the music, while I don’t mind retro tunes like Culture Club and Lionel Richie, it was surprising to hear those songs playing one after the other. They felt out of place and disconnected from the overall atmosphere. Perhaps I'm missing the theme here, and that's on me, but...
We had a reservation for Mother's Day. It was packed when we got there. We ordered our appetizer right away but it took an hour to get it. After two hours we had to leave. My husband stayed behind to wait for the food to bring home. Of the four items ordered only the omelet was fine. The table next to us left without food. Unfortunately they have big problems. We will try them again sometime because we really want them to succeed for our community.
The atmosphere at the bar was fantastic, and the drinks were spot on! We started with hummus as an appetizer, and we were amazed by how fresh it tasted. The pita bread was perfectly toasted, and they kindly offered us more with our order. I ordered the halibut tacos, while my husband chose the Beef Wellington. The Beef Wellington was delicious, but the tacos were just average. Overall, we had a wonderful time and will definitely be returning.
The restaurant is still experiencing some initial issues. They had run out of water glasses when we arrived, and the overall service was quite inconsistent. The pretzels and tuna tostadas were excellent, but unfortunately, the beef Wellington was disappointing; the beef was overcooked and resembled a pot roast, and the sauce was inedible. On a positive note, they do offer fantastic happy hour deals!

I don't think I qualify to comment on the food as I only had an appetizer. I hate to say it I ate it but it was just ok. The waiter didn't seem as friendly or interested in his job. I'm sorry it wasn't so busy when we came in but you have to smile and at least pretend that you are happy to see a customer...
Food was decent- breakfast tacos bland. Supposedly short in kitchen but took a good 1.5 hrs for service. Toooo long for not 5 star food. Had to ask for coffee refills, find someone for a kids cup to replace the glass give to my kid. I'll try somewhere else before coming back
Pancakes were terrible for brunch all food dishes came out cold. And all of them lacked flavor. After the brunch I wound up taking my kids to McDonald's to actually get something to eat what a waste of $100 for a table of four. I really do hope they read this and do better
They had a limited menu and still ran out of food, but they didn't tell us. They just brought out frozen chicken tenders and pretended that's what we ordered. Medium rare steak came out like hockey puck. Awful food and awful service.

I have been to The George numerous times and every time the food has been delicious. We took my Dad for his 81st birthday and there were 10 of us. The staff was great and everyone enjoyed their meals.
