Thank you to the entire staff at The Glen Tavern for an unforgettable birthday celebration for my best friend! Everything was perfect! It was very highly recommended by family and well worth the hours of driving through rush hour traffic because from the moment we arrived we were transported into a different, far more enchanting place than we’ve shared in a very, very long time. The cocktails and wine were incredible. The food was impeccably presented and absolutely delicious! The coconut cream desert was every bite as scrumptious as your downtown Toronto restaurant. We have been to The Glen a number of times in the past and the food, although pricey, was excellent and the service was good. The service we had last night was terrible. It started off bad from the moment we walked through the door. Even though we had made a reservation, we were seated at a table in a high traffic area even though there were a number of other tables available. We asked if we could move and our server announced quite loudly to the other servers that we didn’t want to sit there and moved us. We noticed, as the night went on, no one else was offered that table. Also people without a reservation were seated further in the restaurant at nicer seats, ?? She brought us our drinks b...
First time visiting this joint. The food was very very good. I ordered the Caesar salad to start and it was spectacular. Everything was very fresh and tasty. I ordered the fettuccini pasta for my main and it was amazing as well. Extremely tasty. The dessert was also great, would recommend ordering the coconut cream pie for dessert!
