We chose this restaurant on a whim after reading some reviews, as we aren't very familiar with the area. We brought our two young daughters with us, and we found the atmosphere to be less than child-friendly, despite having a kids' menu that led us to believe it would be more accommodating for families. However, aside from that detail, the service and food were excellent. The pizzas were fantastic, and I really enjoyed the beef dip sandwich along with a side of homemade soup, both of which were incredibly tasty. My daughters loved their cheese pizza, which is impressive since they can be quite picky! I think our server's name was Cari, and she was wonderful. She managed the entire restaurant...
I recently ate here and it was a solid experience, the food was quite solid. The pricing was what you would expect although the entrees were priced slightly less but that didn't decrease the portion sizing. I went with some friends and we got nachos for the table, they were huge! and of good quality too, smothered in cheese. I had heard that the pizza was a best seller so I had the hawaiian and was not disappointed. The service was fantastic, we were helped right away by the hostess with a smiling face, had a choice of here to sit (though limited options because it was busy). I was visiting a friend in Georgetown and we decided to give this place a try for lunch. Was it ever a big mistake. We like to keep things local when we can but some establishments don't take pride in their overall product and service. We got stale beer and food that was disgusting! Something a warden would refuse to feed to inmates in a jail or prison. All we ordered were cheeseburgers with fries. We both got sick shortly after leaving the establishment which means the food was not stored or handled properly. Eat here at your own risk.
My friends and I love going to The Pickled Piper! Atmosphere is great, the food is delicious. We love coming in to see Sarah, she knows the best things on the menu and will ALWAYS recommend something delicious ?
