We stopped by on Saturday during a bike ride because we thought it might rain—and it did! The manager noticed us and kindly asked if we were on bikes, then opened the garage to keep them dry. It was such a thoughtful gesture. Our waitress, Jerry (with a 'y'), was fantastic. She was incredibly funny and did a great job taking care of us. She made our unexpected 'rain delay' even more enjoyable than the bike ride itself. It’s a wonderful place with a great atmosphere, and we definitely plan to return and make this our regular spot!
I am truly in love with this restaurant now! I organized a celebration for a friend who recently completed chemotherapy, and the entire staff, especially Christina, went above and beyond to accommodate our large group of friends wearing wigs. The manager even surprised her with flowers! The app for ordering food is fantastic, and we had a wonderful evening with our lovely server. The decor is vibrant and modern, and the drink selection is excellent! It seems we've found our new favorite spot in town!
Trivia Tuesday was an absolute blast, even though we finished in last place! My friend and I are definitely planning to return, aiming for that coveted first spot. A big shoutout to Jon, the bartender, who made sure we didn’t leave as sore losers. He was fantastic—super attentive and even shared information about a delicious locally grown antioxidant berry. As a cherry on top, he offered us some juice to take with us. It doesn't get much better than that! I would rate the experience a perfect 10/10!
Such history and unusual beginnings...what a treasure and unique plans for this place. So much giving and caring for others while serving the public. This is going to be a wonderful addition to Valley Junction and Des Moines area in general. The food truck service, initial resource, will be a wonderful hand up for these folks, as are the coffee shop and distillery...out of the box thinking will be a wonderful asset for us. Really enjoyed our meal here. It was our first time ordering from our phone at the table, but it went seamlessly. There was plenty of room to spread out from other groups. Service and food was fast and easy, while the environment was relaxed and comfortable. (Note for families: the music playing is un-edited, occasional language)
Great beer selection. Love the open beer hall setup. Good amount of outdoor space as well. Decent selection of food options. They make it easy to order food and drink via mobile device. We typically visit on a Saturday afternoon post kids sports games and there are quite a few families there as well.
Fun atmosphere! Great concept with food trucks (order through the app on your phone). Big message boards tell you when food is ready. Waitresses come around for drink orders! Germany beer hall like with community benches/tables! Make new friends and grab a game to play!
