Great little spot nestled in downtown Manasquan right by the train station. Good amount of seating for the size and a nice bar area. Grab a drink before your train or come to watch a game, the atmosphere is warm and you are bound to run into someone you know. All the drinks you can think of and a surprisingly large menu, the food here is a welcomed surprise. Was here on Monday before Thanksgiving of this year. I came here for a quick pit-stop dinner to recover from a Virtual Half Marathon I finished competing in for the Black Toenail Friday Half-Marathon and 7.5 Miler around two hours prior to my arrival (the in-person participants competed in Proud Lake Recreation Area in Commerce Township, Michigan, on Friday, 4 days after me). Albeit a small restaurant, the inside is very cool and the food I ordered was fantastic. I also like that it’s right at the train station, so the bartenders are very accommodating regarding your situation if you’re in a serious hurry.
I must say, the Irish Rail has really improved! When I visited years ago, the service was slow and the food was just average. However, this time the service was fantastic and friendly, and the food was genuinely delicious! I'm not sure what has changed in the last five to six years, but keep up the great work!
Stopped in for lunch today and were very happy we did. Mark the bartender/waiter greeted us warmly and was pleasant throughout our stay. We had an assortment of sandwiches and beers and we enjoyed all of them. Looking forward to a return visit.

We stumbled upon this hidden gem and were absolutely amazed. The owners, staff, and even the other customers made us feel like family; and the food was outstanding! We honestly thought it would be good, but it turned out to be EXCELLENT!!
Wow , What s blast , Went on a trivia night , Steve and Shirley handled a packed house with ease and were so laid back and fun, had Burgers and Steak sandwich ..both great ..never there before but will be back !!!
This restaurant takes an excessive amount of time to fulfill DoorDash deliveries, often taking 30 minutes to an hour. The orders are rarely ready on time, and the staff appears to be disorganized.
We had the good fortune of meeting Steve O last night as our server. He was so nice we had a lovely chat with him. The food was good. We will definitely visit again when we are in the area!

Not remotely consistent with posted hours. Door is locked at 11 with people hanging out inside yet hours state they close at 12. Place is pretty lousy in general but still.
Ordered fish and chips. Fish pieces were all stuck together. Not bad. Not great. Fries were ok. Pricey. But it’s season at the shore.
