The meals we had were less than satisfactory. The scallops (starter)were rubbery and swimming in butter. The child’s burger (main meal) was dry as were the very crispy chips, as though they had been in an oven all afternoon and were completely inedible . The sausage was tasteless with chewy skin. The fish burger didn’t taste of anything and again chips were dried to a cinder. Two fish pies were ok but not much fish in there to be honest and vegetables were cold. Two of us had two small glasses of red wine. Five of us had prawn cocktails for a starter. Most of the food was left on the plates it was so bad.The manager took off the bill, one adult meal and one child meal and charged a child mea...
great food, nice view. only let them go from trek to loos. I walked with a crutch and found the stairs difficult as they can't hold the handrail to pull themselves. I don't think they have a disabled toilet, as I have asked in the past when I thought I was disabled. unless it is a new supplement.
Poor hygiene and upset tummies! Absolutely shocked by the quality of the food and awful hygiene! NO HANDWASH in either the men’s or woman’s toilets and the quality of the food was poor. 2 of my family members had upset stomachs after eating terrible experience! AVOID!
pleasantly surprised by many vegan options here, although they could do with a little more taste. there is also a good selection of ales, beer and lemons. beautiful small pub near the kais with a domestic feeling. would recommend.

Great beer, staff and food loved the experience so much we spent 3 of our 7 nights there. The specials are lovely. Couldn't recommend the belly pork enough. Offshore beer and the Island Gin are also excellent drink choices.
I went to the restaurant for lunch, but the bar area was dirty and dominated by a very loud, profane man who was encouraged by the owner and staff. We quickly finished our drinks and left without ordering any food.
This is the only legitimate pub on St. Mary's, but 18 pounds for two medium glasses of house red wine? Really! The Sunday lunch was great, but we'll definitely be dining elsewhere at that price.
nice eating and a beautiful pint of real al. good view from restaurant on the top floor. make sure they book in advance when they eat. helpful and pleasant staff

Fabulous atmosphere in this friendly pub in an ideal location. Beer was well kept. What more could you ask for?
