My boyfriend and I went here to see The Hip Replacements play on a Saturday night. Came early to get good seats and eat. I got the short rib grilled cheese which was amazing. My boyfriend got the peanut butter and jelly bacon burger. We split our meals and were fully impressed. The burger was interesting, cool to try once but not something id order twice. The grilled cheese was very delicious. Fries were awesome although they might be breaded.I also tried the espresso martini which was super delicious and made me feel very fancy. We ordered a prime rib sandwich and philly cheesesteak. First, they had prime rib that day as their special. Thought it would be good in a sandwich. Boy, I was wrong. The beef was dry and overly cooked. Prime rib should be rare to medium rare. None of the steak in my sandwich was close to being even pink. My wife's philly cheesesteak was not even a philly cheesesteak. I suppose you could call it a CHEESE STEAK sandwich. Regardless, the steak was cooked to hell and back, and the sandwich was overall just dry.The worst thing though was the price. Greeted at door by two staff and advised to sit anywhere. Chose a table but no service while others around us were attended to. I asked one of these servers who was looking after us and it appeared she was sitting at another couple's table in conversation for quite some time and oblivious to our presence. The other server Aaron (i beleive) looked after us untill his shift finished and was excellent. The other server did take over and gave us the bill but did not return so we paid at the bar. Food was good but one server can turn you off!
My wife and I stopped in at 7 on Thursday while bombing around town. Hostess and server were both quick, pleasant, and helpful. We ordered the blue hottie and peanut butter bacon burger with the blue hottie being the standout and definitely worth ordering again. The food came out quickly and very hot with our server filling water without needing to request. It was good for a second visit in recent months and worth coming back. Well, I did not want to be nasty and write a bad review.....but I ate there a week ago and got horrible food poisoning. I emailed the restaurant, and they did not have the courtesy to get back to me, which says to me they don't give a hoot. Ok for a cold noisy beer, but with so many wonderful restaurants in that area, why would you risk it? As someone who visits relatives in the hood on a regular basis, I know where I won't be going!
It was so hot outside we decided to eat inside where it was nicely air-conditioned. Lot of beer choices, I had the Okanagan Springs 1516, which is a nice light lager, but the variety of beers was good. For Food I had he Super foods salad which was okay. That was the consensus on the night with my other two friends, the place, staff and beer were nice and the food was okay.
I spent a fair bit of time in this pub over the weekend, the food was superb and the drink selection is next level and the staff was awesome and amazingly friendly. I thought that the service was great and I happened to be there when a great band was playing. All in all it's a great pub and would recommend to anyone.
Stopped in for happy hour! $4 beer and $5 wings. Then we had the Yorkies. OMG that's all I can say. They are mini yorkshire puddings with short rib beef and gravy and horseradish sauce. My taste buds have died and gone to heaven!!! Excellent service, craft beers and local wines. A total hit!! Réservez une table maintenant
