The Old Black Swan

This is a great local pub with a friendly atmosphere. They serve generous portions of delicious pub food, with the white chowder and ginger cheesecake being particular standouts. The pub is popular with both locals and visitors, and has a welcoming feel. You can even bring your muddy boots and dogs along, as Alan (the gray dog) was kindly given treats and attention.

Good pub with a good selection of ales. Stopped off after a visit from the tramway village, was a good little watering hole to relax, looks like it's just been tastefully refurbished. No food served at present but a good selection of bar snacks, pies, sausage rolls etc. Would stop again Price per person: £1–10 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Made a special effort to call in after a visit to the crich tower earlier in the week noticed this little gem. Myself husband were served by a lovely young lady. The restaurant only offers sausage rolls and a pie on their menu, with no gluten-free options available. The pub has a nice atmosphere, but it was quite cold inside since there was no heating on.
