I haven't had this much fun in a classroom setting since Kindergarten!! Been here TWICE now...so I'm a regular ... first with a group from work, when we painted our famous Minneapolis spoon with cherry fountain/sculpture icon on canvas. Our instructor, Laura , was enthusiastic, sweet, and very accommodating all while instructing us non-artists to learn how to mix colors and paint so that we can actually have a good painting to take home. The second class I went to was on my own, was taught by Sam which was good as well. Sam had a different style from Laura, she was more laid back and had a quiet sarcastic sense of humor. Erik gives good direction, has tough trivia, and excellent musical taste! But I was a bit annoyed with how late we started on a school night. Plus how rushed I felt at the end. I went to the Paint Pub for a fundraiser for my friend's son's school. I was super excited to paint the iconic spoonbridge with cherry that is sooo Minneapolis. There was no one at the front to greet me so I assumed I was at the right place. I saw my friend, got a spot, then waited in the long line for drinks and food. When I finally got up there I was excited to use my check in on yelp for 10% off my wine. I guess waiting in a long line got me that little bit. We went here on a Groupon, which I absolutely recommend if you can. The sign in process was a little unorganized, but I think that was due to the customer/employee ratio. Once everyone got settled in and they started serving wine, everything went a lot smoother. The class itself was SO much fun! They give enough guidance that you know what you need to do, but enough freedom and suggestions that you can also be as creative as the wine makes you feel. They had several other classes coming up, 'including how to make a wooden sign, which looked very fun. The guidance and encouragement to interact with everyone around you made everything very comfortable, and no one was judgy about anyone 's skil...
This place is so fun! I came here with a birthday party and it was a blast! The paint, aprons, and canvas is included in the price and you take your lovely art home with you at the end. The instructors guide the class and give pointers on everything from brush techniques to color mixing, but you're encouraged to give your masterpiece your own creative spin. The instructor we had was funny and joked around with us, so it broke the ice and we had fun with it. They serve beer and wine, so if you're into that , it can also help to hone your creativity. I will come here again!

My team attended a team building event here and a handful of us has such a great time, we returned again. The Paint Pub is very accommodating. My friends and I wanted a specific painting that we saw on the website but not on the schedule. They were willing to schedule even for our small group. It was a small but great, class. Our instructor, Erik, has very encouraging to everyone and tried to help everyone see positive aspects of their work. This is great way to spend a couple hours with friends. I will definitely return!
First time trying any type of paint and wine place and I loved it. The one thing I'm most amazed about is how much good lighting they have in there. Selfies turned out amazing! Took my mom and sisters here and my mom, who's never touched a pen or paint brush before was able to keep up and did really well. I love how the instructor pushes us to keep going but it did not felt rushed at all and we were done on time. Definitely will be back!
This was a fun experience for my family and I. I was surprised how many steps there were! You stain the wood, drill holes, set a stencil, and paint! Took longer than I expected which made it more worth the money. The female worker was very nice! The other 2 males were not very proactive and were kind of rude. I would probably do something similar again but would consider another company due to the customer service.
My children love this place!! We have held two birthday parties here one each for my son and daughter. It was a great time, and the kids get to take home their paintings which they really enjoy! It is also a blast for adults very relaxing as they have a great selection of beer and wine. I honestly didn't think I would enjoy it as I'm not much of an artist, but the instruction makes it easy!!

So much fun! I came here with friends for a birthday party (I admit reluctantly) and had a great time. The timing was great, just enough time to socialize and paint. The step by step instruction with lots of tips and tricks made us all surprise ourselves with the finished product. I love the small business feel of this place- very charming. I will definitely come back!
