At one time, I would have given this restaurant five stars....but no more. Several waitresses have continued to harass me even though I always leave a good tip. During my last visit, I waited ten minutes before the waitress came to my booth to take my order. I asked that she include a HOT biscuit which is my usual request....but had to send it back for warmup. I waited fifteen minutes for a coffee refill. When she finally came to my booth, she poured regular coffee into my decafinated cup. I ordered a second biscuit.....continued to wait close to ten minutes...no biscuit. The waitress walked by my booth and said, What;s Up! And, when I asked when are you going to bring my biscuit, she acted...
The food..it's good...about what you would get at an iHop, Denny's, Shoney's etc. Wait staff seem pleasant enough. The real problem here is the WAIT. It's like the Hunger Games of the restaurant world. Arrived at 11:30 am on a Sunday (Elon Family Weekend, ok it's gonna be busy, I understand). Told it was 35 min wait. Ok. 30 mins later, was told it would be another 30 mins. A large group was waiting outside with us, they called iHop and found out there was no wait, they left. As well as 3 other groups. Now mind you while this was going on, we could see in the windows at least 3 tables empty waiting to be bussed. Finally got to the indoor waiting area, saw 3 different parties get seated at the...
Nice friendly local diner Staff was very accomodating and wanted to make sure we were well supplied with coffee Breakfast was generous portions. Omelets were full of ingredients and hot food Lots of side options other than just hash brown's with our egg dishes. Oatmeal was one of them which I thought was unique choice. The gravy however could have had more sausage and less floured milk. Can see why people came in where the servers knew their names. That they come here every morning.
We have eaten breakfast here many times. It has always been clean, quick and tasty. If you like black tea, they bring it already brewed. This confused me at first but it was strong and enjoyable. They have great specials, so keep an eye on the chalkboard when you first walk in. Sometimes you have to stand during busy weekends if there is a wait. Réservez une table maintenant
I highly recommend country ham and eggs served with a steamy hot biscuit and small side order of oat meal. The ham is not salty and the helping is large. And, when I ask that the eggs be soft scrambled, they have never failed to comply with my request which is often a problem in other eateries.
Went to try the park foe the first time after hearing great reviews literally trying to open the door with my young children an older lady runs and flips the sign to closed. And were turned away along with 2 families behind us.they werent even busy. Wont be giving it another chance.
Excellent breakfast with very friendly staff. I had French toast with bacon and grits and my husband had 2 eggs with gravy and biscuits. It was a good southern breakfast. Coffee was filled before your cup was e m pay and staff was very friendly. We will be back! Thanks!
Just what you expect from an American diner. Food is good, atmosphere very American. The staff is the same way, friendly but straightforward. Truly classic place altogether, perfect for a diner breakfast. Will definitely go again, when in the neighborhood. Réservez une table maintenant
