If this isn't Melbourne's best pie place then I put out the challenge to name another. This joint has been pumping out delicious pies ever since I was a kid. Hadn't been for a while and went down recently and guess what guys, they are still there, same old sign and still pumping out succulent pies. The ingredients are top notch, amazing pastry, and great fair dinkum Aussie service. One of Coburg's original gems. Be sure to check this joint out if pies are your thing. Puts Ferguson Plarre and Pie face to shame. Top notch guys!
Great products .Vast array of fillings healthy as well , Ian uses fresh vegetables , yesterday i noticed he advertised , by memory, 12 vegetables in the 1 item . This LOCAL shop needs the support of its current customers MORE !!! worth travelling to. Friendly polite staff Coburg needs small business's such as The Pie Place which is one of the longest trading shops in the suburb , Zippers is another example of a long term business.
These are the most beautiful and the most delicious pies I have ever tasted, and they're made by the most lovely pie people! I feel that I am spoiling myself every time I buy anything here. And now they are selling fluffy, yummo, hot cross buns! The Pie Place is Coburg's little secret jewel, and I hope it's there for a long time yet! If you haven't found it in the little arcade at the top end of Sydney Rd you're missing out!
Inside an arcade that could easily be overlooked, it is not much more than a hole in the wall. There are cakes and pastries to take away, with some hot and ready to eat and others that can be taken home to heat up in individual and family sizes. My vegie pastie was full of vegies that were crisp and tasty, not overcooked as in some shops. The pries were good, too.

As a motorcycle racer I have traveled the length and breadth of the country and as a tradie, I am always on the lookout for a good pie. You can't beat the ones I find at The Pie Place in Coburg. You have to try their Chicken and Leek pie. Not something I would order anywhere else, but the first thing I go for at The Pie Place. They are EXCELLENT.
Had the most delicious cheese and spinach pastry from here-hot out of the oven, it was surprisingly stuffed with gooey/awesome/strange mac and cheese
Always the best pies with great flavour and fresh ingredients. Never miss a chance to drop in when going through coburg
I absolutely love the pies at this restaurant. I drive all the way from Melton just to indulge in them.
