Last night was our 2nd trip to The Rack House. I wish I had taken pics to go along with my review but didn’t. So, let me start with saying, I might be a little more particular because I grill steaks so well myself at home and often better than some restaurants. I had the same meal both trips which was the filet and lobster special and my husband had the delmonico choice ribeye (I told him to get prime and this time he had the steak and mushrooms. Our family of 5 were sat in an area very near the bar (open concept). There was a patron who was talking and cursing very loudly on FaceTime. The manager spoke to her and the woman came over to apologize to us. Our kids ordered steak tacos, ribeye, shrimppasta. My husband and I split the Rack House ribeye. After waiting awhile, we were told that our food had to be remade due to adoor being shut on our server. our first time in the rack house and we will definitely be back with our friends and family. for the first time we tried lamming, risotto, sawed spinat and heavy fish. my strip was a little hard so our amazing server andrew a juicy, delicate filet instead. the heavy fish was the next stage perfection. everything was amazing. eating, the atmosphere, the staff, the prices are very good for such high quality foods. we recommend this wonderful place very. Jonathan was an exceptional waiter and bartender during my visit. I came here on a brief trip from Hattiesburg, and this place was highly recommended by the NFCU staff—great suggestion! The food was fantastic and packed with flavor, and the drinks from the bar were excellent as well. This location is affiliated with Half Shell, but it outshines any Half Shell I've ever visited. In summary: GO! 10/10.
I had an incredible experience at this restaurant! The service from Serene was fantastic, and the food was absolutely delicious. I tried the bacon-wrapped scallops and lamb lollipops, both of which were amazing. The wedge salad was incredibly fresh and packed with flavor. Everything was simply outstanding. I highly recommend this place to everyone!
I went here with my wife a couple friends; I must say this is a great restaurant to check out downtown Gulfport. Lamb Lollipops are an amazing starter. I ordered the fish of the day which was the Halibut. I wasn't too impressed with the fish. I should have went with the ribeye. Looking forward to checking this place out again.
This was my first time here and I enjoyed it a lot. Our waiter Ian was very nice and gave us some suggestions on what to order. He was very attentive to our needs and didn't hesitate to fulfill them. This is one of my favorite spots along the coast. The food is consistently fantastic, and the customer service is excellent. The staff is attentive and dedicated. You could spend an entire week sampling different dishes, and each one is delightful. They also offer a wonderful selection of drinks and desserts!
