The River and Rail Restaurant

Best brunch ever. Hands down. Fabulous staff very attentive from the moment we walked through the door. Ally B, was top notch. Jar of pickles, a simple appetizer great ingredients. Pimento cheese, by far some of the best we've come across. Entree's all over the board we all ordered something different so we could taste each item. Only place I'll go for brunch when I'm off on Sunday's.

Ok. I never gush or go over the top about many things BUT this place is THE Place to eat. The starter plate of ribs are unique and superb. Entrees were perpared, plated, and served with a Cool, Hip touch. And speaking of cool if you are lucky and get to meet the owners you will understand why The River And Rail even though not an Itailian joint is my #1 Roanoke restaurant

We had a fantastic lunch (R R burger, and the Natural Chicken lunch plate) with excellent service at a reasonable price. The chicken was literally fork tender, and a special request to change a side was granted with a smile. We arrived very near the end of the lunch hours, but you would never have known it from our greeting, the service and the food. Thank you.

Terminer la déception. Bien que la nourriture soit bonne, je m'attendais à plus de 2 oz. De steak pour 28,00 $ pour deux personnes avec conseil, la facture était de 100,00 $ et j'ai laissé faim, les portions sont très petites. Je ne recommanderais pas cet endroit à personne et je ne vais pas y aller à nouveau comme si j'ai dit une déception complète Réservez une table maintenant

Complete disappointment. Although the food was good I did expect more than 2oz. of steak for $28.00 for two people with tip the bill was $100.00 and I left hungry, the portions are very small. i would not recommend this place to anyone and will not go there again like i said COMPLETE DISAPPOINTMENT

I don't live in Roanoke, so only visit the River and the Rail occasionally. Every time I have eaten there, the food was unique and delicious. They serve things you cannot find in other restaurants and the menu varies from time to time. I would highly recommend The River and Rail!

Really enjoyed my food Saturday night! I had the ribs and octopus off the 'firsts ' menu and a signature cocktail. Our waitress Jessica could not have been nicer or more helpful. I 'll definitely be making River and Rail a regular dinner spot
