Great pub and very friendly staff, I enjoy coming here during the summer months, when we walk from Stourport and over the viaduct to get there. The riverside bar is great but not accessible for people with severe motabilty needs or wheelchairs, and due to location probably will never be. Wheelchair accessibility: Step up on entrance to main building with second door soon after entering which can be awkward if you have a wheelchair. Also you have the main road to your back when entering. Riverside bar area is not wheelchair accessible due to steep steps Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Bollywood Pizza
I have to give 5 stars because, as always, the food was fantastic and the staff were all very friendly. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning because they have changed the entire system, and it's no longer waiter service. When I'm halfway through my meal, I don’t want to have to go up to the bar to wait in line and pay! To me, it cheapens the overall experience, and I’m sure they're missing out on dessert and coffee sales because people aren't willing to make that trip to the bar again!
Cracking pub with excellent food and service. Sunday lunch, which we had, was very tasty with a great selection for £13.50 Plenty of parking on the front but be careful when reversing back onto the main road as it's very busy. Good selection of beer. Clean toilet and a very broad mixture of clientele. Will definitely return. I stopped by on the off chance for a Sunday lunch and was pleasantly surprised. The staff were very accommodating and quickly found us a table. There was a good selection of beers, including some guest ales. The food was delicious, and the pub itself was clean with nicely presented tables. I would definitely return. I have booked a 50th anniversary here, as my mother and my father have lived in the village since the high season. that was great. the personal could not do enough for us, and all that, although it is really busy. I must say that the current owners and employees are the best that the rock had in very long time. worth a visit.
I called to reserve a table for eight of us on Sunday afternoon, and they were able to accommodate us in the kitchen around 6 PM. The staff was incredibly friendly, and the food was outstanding, particularly the roast beef and Yorkshire pudding. The prices were reasonable, and I would definitely recommend this place.
