I really wanted to love this place but don't really understand the hype. Food was OK but nothing mind blowing in our opinion, my favourite was the butter and sage gnocchi, simple and intense flavours. Service was good, everyone was very kind and helpful. Liked the ambience and music. Something I really did not like was that apparently when you tip on the card, the money is not distributed equally amongst the staff, but it is handled by the restaurant and goes towards things like funding staff training. I really hope I misunderstood that part. Apparently the legislation is changing in February so this policy will hopefully change. Also, reading some comments on here, I never appreciate the ow...
Great spot to try a variety of pastas, dumplings and stews from various countries. Extensive wine lists. Waiters and waitresses are welcoming, and very knowledgeable in the menu. Explained to us every single item on the menu. Every dish that we tried were amazing. Highlight of the night was the panna cotta. Exceptional texture, interesting flavour combination. One of my favourite restaurants in Manchester, and the first place I bring any friends who are visiting down from London. Every one of them has had the same reaction where they love the food and vibe and are wowed and want to come again. Food is always amazing, the atmosphere is cosy and nice and their wine recommendations are absolutely amazing! It was so so great and mouthwatering! I immediately fall in love with this place. Sooo tasty pasta, tea, lemonade and of cause dessert, so kind and nice manager and waiters! So recommended for others! You need to taste all food and see this cozy atmosphere!
