Not made to feel very welcome unfortunately. Phoned beforehand to ask about checking in the possibility of leaving bags as we were at a wedding nearby, told no, check in was 4-8pm. On arrival, told breakfast was strictly 8-9am which is fairly early for most people who have been to a wedding the day before. Food was ok. Upon finishing breakfast we were told to go get our bags and settle up downstairs, it was 9:20 and we felt rushed out, when you are paying £95 it was as if weren't welcome. No shower gel provided for a shower.
Stopped here for two nights attending a wedding in Thirsk. Our room was small in l loft conversion. Two single beds and two velux type roof windows which we opened at night due to the heat. Plenty of tea/coffee/hot chocolate and milk/sugar. The en-suite was small but functional. Probably worth picking a larger room if available. Management were friendly and can’t find fault with the food which was plentiful. Breakfast is fantastic and is included in the room rate.
