We had a horrific experience. We were stuck with one of the worst waitresses I have ever met. Her name is Michelle. She rarely checked in on our table despite being only one of 8 people in the dining area. She spent most of her night working the room as she described it. We went out with 2 other couples for dinner before heading to an event. The restaurant was not crowded at all. It took more than half hour for our salads to come. We mentioned that we were in a bit of a rush, so could they please try to bring the main course quickly. We waited another half hour for our main course. When it came, only 5/6 entrees arrived. It took another 10 minutes for the 6th entree to arrive. The food was good, but we had to eat so quickly that the taste became irrelevant. They did comp the 6th entree, which was appropriate under the circumstances. Went for our birthdays. Had been there 15 years ago, remembered it was good. On the reservation request it asked for any special requests. I asked for a table near a wall or in a corner as my husband has hearing issues. Got there and was seated in th middle of the restaurant, with a birthday party of at least 40 people right next to us. I told the seater that we requested a corner table or near a wall and was told this was the only table for 2. The others were tables for 4. I explained the issue and was told this is all I have for you. Why ask for special requests if they are ignored? This is a nice local restaurant with good food and a generally quiet environment. The restaurant is possibly overly ambitious; concentrating on fewer more choice selections might be a better option. The prices are not a bargain and the decor is a bit dated. Nice bar crowd. Great potential for the future.
